Tea Tree, Melaleuca alternifolia
Pure Essential Oil

Tea Tree e.o., called also Melaleuca e.o., is obtained by steam distillation from the leaves. This Australian Tea Tree oil has a high terpinene-4-ol content ranging between 46 and 52%. These producers and growers have tweaked pressure and temperature over the years and perfected a technique of distillation that maximizes the terpin-4-ol and analysis confirm lower levels of the common less therapuetic terpenes, like gamma terpinene, alpha pinene and limonene. Most studies of  Tea Tree focus on the terpin-4-ol as the most therapeutic constituent. A pale green-yellow oil with spicy camphoraceous odour.

Main Components: terpinen-4-ol, terpineol, terpinenes, cineole.
Actions*: antiseptic, antifungal, immunostimulant, insecticide.
Applications*: skin infections, bronchitis, coughs, acne, tinea, herpes, warts.
Safety data: non-toxic, non-irritant, slightly sensitizing.

Rosalina, Melaleuca ericifolia
Pure Essential Oil

This is a gentler alternative of Melaleuca e.o. The oil is obtained by steam distillation from the leaves. gentle on skin, relaxing and calming.

Main Components: linalool, cineole, pinene, terpinolene.
Actions*: disinfectant, antiinflammatory, analgesic, immunostimulant, expectorant and wound healing.
Applications*: similar applications to M. alternifolia, stress relief. Could be used internally for digestive system disorders. May be applied undiluted.
Safety data: non-toxic, non-irritant, non-sensitizing.
