Mandarin, Red, Citrus reticulata var. pongan
Pure Essential Oil

Also called Citrus deliciosa is obtained by cold expression from peel of the fruits. Mandarin oil, Red, Italy is a descendant of the indigenous fruit from South China. Red Mandarin is also a European ancestor to the American Tangerine. Not surprisingly there are subtle similarities and differences both analytically and in scent and flavor. Italian Mandarins are considered superior in this industry. Orange-brown oil with intensely sweet and faintly floral like orange blossoms fragrance. Often in Mandarins there is a very slight fishy note that quickly subsides, but this one does not have this amine-like topnote.
Main Components: limonene, terpinene, cymene, pinene.
Actions*: similar to tangerine and Orange oils; antispasmodic, diuretic, digestive, sedative.
Applications*: soothing restlesness, especially in hyperactive children, better fats digestion, helps preventing stretch marks during pregnancy, acne.

Petitgrain, Citrus aurantium var. amara
Pure Essential Oil

The oil of Mandarin Petitgrain is steam distilled from the leaves and twigs of the same tree that produces bitter orange oil and orange blossom (neroli) oil. Pale yellow or amber liquid with pleasant floral sweet scent reminiscent to neroli.
Main Components: linalool, geraniol, linalyl acetate, terpineol, myrcene, geranyl acetate, nerol.
Actions*: antidepressant, antispasmodic, digestive, sedative, stomachic.
Applications*: depression, insomnia, anexity, dyspepsia, acne.
Safety data: non-toxic, non-irritant, non-sensitizing.
