Pure essential oils of Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia), Helichrysum (Helichrysum italicum), and Peppermint (Mentha piperita) were chosen for this First Aid Kit because of their versatility. Those three oils help with most minor injuries and emergencies at home and on a trip.
Essential oils obtained by steam distillation are highly concentrated plant essences that posses therapeutic properties. Most of the times just one drop of the oil is sufficient for a treatment.

 Lavender essential oil is antiseptic (kills bacteria and other germs), antiallergenic (inhibits itching and other allergic reactions), sedative and soothing - great for burns, sunburns, insect bites and stings.
 Helichrysum essential oil is best known for its antihematomal properties, such as reduction of bleeding, bruising and swelling. It is also antiseptic - makes wonders when applied to bruises, open wounds, cuts and sprains.
 Peppermint essential oil, due to its high concentration of menthol is antiseptic and helps with indigestion, nausea, colic and cramps.

 This kit comes with instructions. Although it is small it goes a long way as you usually need jus a one drop of oil for treatment.

Lavender and Helichrysum essential oils are very gentle and can be directly applied on skin. The oil of peppermint supplied with this kit may irritate the skin and should not be used undiluted. Not to be used on infants and pregnant women. Do not get near the eyes. Keep all oils out of rich by children.
